Chennai (India), 10 August, 2017: Abyssinian, India’s first Exclusive Ethiopian restaurant in Chennai has curated “The Ethiopian Tasting plates” a combination of dishes to give a foodie a taste of truly authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

These tasting plates offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and provides a glimpse into an Ethiopian meal with your preferred choice of meat including Doro (Chicken), Yebeg (Lamb) and a wide range of vegetarian dishes. The platter is served on a bed of flat, pancake like bread called ‘Injera’. Piles of various dishes characterized by a variety of authentic spices are placed around on the platter. Pieces of the injera are torn off with the fingers and used to scoop up and slightly compact the food. Ethiopian people share from the same plate which helps build the bonds of friendship and loyalty. Those bonds are often demonstrated in the form of ‘Gursha’, placing food in the mouth of another diner.

The Vegetarian tasting plates is priced @Rs. 399 and Non-vegetarian @Rs. 499 Per Person
