80th Senior State Aquatic Championship 2026 Begins at SRMIST
The 80th Senior State Aquatic Championship 2026 will be hosted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology SRMIST in association with the Tamil Nadu State Aquatic Association and Chengalpattu District Aquatic Association at the Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar Aquatic Complex, SRMIST Kattankulathur Campus, from 1st to 2nd June 2026.
The championship, affiliated with the Swimming Federation of India and Tamil Nadu Olympic Association, will feature leading swimmers from across the state, more than 400 Men & Women Swimmers. The event also serves as the Selection Trials for the 12th Asian Age Group Championship 2026, providing athletes an opportunity to qualify for international competition.
The inaugural function will be held on 1 June 2026 at 8:00 AM, while the valedictory function is scheduled for 2 June 2026 at 4:00 PM. Dr. S. Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST, will preside over the valedictory ceremony and address the gathering.
The championship highlights SRMIST’s continued commitment to promoting excellence in aquatic sports and athlete development.
