The Moon has indeed enchanted man over the years! With many legends and myths associated with the moon, the one we love to relive at Golden Dragon is the beautiful Chinese tale of Chang'e and her husband Houyi!
At the city’s favourite Cantonese and Schezwan cuisine restaurant at Taj Coromandel, Chef William has recreated the magic of this exquisite Moon Festival as he takes you on a delightful culinary journey celebrating the traditional Chinese festival.
The special menu features a choice of authentic delicacies. Tickle your taste buds with appetizers like Smoked Baked Duck with ginger scallion sauce; Crisp Aromatic Chicken with Crêpes and plum sauce; Stuffed Lotus Root with Jasmine Infused Honey, Chilly and Vinegar; Melon, Smoked Cheese and Pomelo Salad with Sesame Dressing; Crispy Kola cassia Dumplings; Cream Cheese Moon Cake; and Quinoa and Chicken Dim Sum. After the delicious soups like Roasted Pumpkin Soup (vegetable/chicken/fish); and Crab and Corn Soup, head straight for the maincourse.
Choose from Braised Duck with Sweet Potato and Chinese Wine served with Sticky rice; Wok Fried Crab with Ginger and Vinegar; Stir Fried Green Muscle with Snow Peas in oyster Sauce; Quick Fried Potato with Five Kernels; and Charred Pear and Mushrooms in Chilly Bean Sauce.
Savour these with Stir Fried Jasmine Rice with Basil and Soya; or Wok Tossed Soba Noodle with Tri Colored peppers. The best is yet to come! The charming Moon cakes - Red Bean Moon Cake; Chocolate Moon Cake; and the Five Kernel Moon Cake. A great way to end a delicious meal.
