Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chen
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai late on Thursday night for fever and dehydration, "is recovering," said hospital sources on Friday morning.
Hospital chief operating officer Subbiah Viswanathan said the chief minister was stable and under observation. "The honourable chief minister of Tamil Nadu was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, with fever and dehydration,".
Meanwhile, security was beefed up around the hospital on the Greams Road. Hundreds of anxious party men gathered near the hospital. Police blocked traffic on the Greams Road and diverted vehicles via other routes.
