WWE Super star Brock Lesnar faces two year ban
UFC heavyweight fighter Brock Lesnar is facing a two-year ban from the sport after he failed a second doping test in the wake of his UFC 200 over Mark Hunt.
Lesnar, who only recently returned to UFC after leaving to pursue his career with WWE, was tested eight times in the build-up to UFC 200 and passed the first five test before failing a test for a banned substance in the next two, with the final test still pending.
It is not yet clear what that banned substance was.
This latest doping story is a further blow for the UFC after Jon Jones, who had been scheduled to fight Daniel Cormier in the headliner for UFC 200, was handed a suspension in the build-up to the event after he tested positive for two banned substances.
Hunt, who suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Lesnar, is now seeking half of Lesnar's $2.5million purse or failing that, to be released from his contract with UFC.
Hunt confirmed that he has already spoken to UFC President Dana White about the situation and he was clear in his demands.
"I saw Brock made millions for this fight, more than anyone ever." he said. "I wanna know what they are gonna do to Brock now.
"When you don’t make weight they give 20% of your purse to the other fighter. If you get caught cheating you should lose all of it.
"I’ve told Dana I want half of Brock’s purse. I’ve told Dana that I want a release from the UFC if they don’t sort this out."
