Following an impactful and highly successful collaboration last year, Madras Midtown Round Table 42 (MMRT42) and Madras Midtown Ladies Circle 7 (MMLC7) are proud to welcome back the sisterhood group to Chennai as they flag off the “Let’s Goa 2026 Rickshaw Rally.”

This extraordinary 1,000-kilometre auto rickshaw journey from Chennai to Goa is not just an adventure — it is a powerful fundraising mission aimed at raising between 1–3 crores to support initiatives that empower women and children across Tamil Nadu.

This year, 35 dynamic women entrepreneurs from the United Kingdom will take on the vibrant and challenging cross-country ride, driving auto rickshaws across cities, towns, and highways in a spirited show of resilience, solidarity, and purpose.

More than a rally, Let’s Goa 2026 represents courage, camaraderie, and commitment — combining adventure with impact. The funds raised will directly support projects focused on education, skill development, and sustainable empowerment for women and children in underserved communities.

A Movement That Transcends Borders

Since their founding in 2006, the Sisterhood Group has been on a mission to create meaningful change. Through extreme challenges, including dragon boating across the English Channel, participating in the Amazon raft race, and running the Marathon des Sables, they have raised over £1 million for charitable causes. Their latest initiative, the Let’s Goa 2026 Rickshaw Rally, brings together 35 dynamic female entrepreneurs and leaders committed to driving positive change in India.

Emma Sayle, the visionary founder of the Sisterhood Group, shares,

“Our mission goes beyond adventure – it’s about empowering women, building networks, and creating a better future for children. We are thrilled to partner with MMRT42 and LC7, who share our vision and commitment to impactful change.”

From Fundraising to Real Impact

Last year’s rally mobilized extraordinary support and raised significant funds — resources that are now being translated into meaningful, measurable change on the ground.

What began as a 1,000 km journey has evolved into lasting infrastructure, sustainable programs, and renewed hope for countless families.

One of the most impactful outcomes has been the establishment of a dedicated Women’s Skilling Unit — a structured training centre created to equip women with vocational skills, financial literacy, and pathways to sustainable livelihoods.

A significant portion of the funds raised has also gone toward the construction of dedicated classrooms for the differently abled.

These classrooms have been thoughtfully designed and fully equipped to meet their specific needs ensuring accessibility, comfort, safety, and an enabling learning environment.

The Legacy of MMRT42 & MMLC7

For decades, Madras Midtown Round Table 42 and Ladies Circle 7 have been at the forefront of community service and social impact in Chennai. Their ongoing initiatives include:

● Women’s Education: Building classrooms to provide essential educational facilities, ensuring a brighter future for young girls.

● Women’s Skills Training: Empowering women with vocational training and skills for financial independence.

● Women’s Health: Anaemia & Cervical Cancer Prevention, Promoting health and well-being for women through targeted health programs.
