Chennai 12.01.2023: Yoga and Naturopathy is one of the Indian System of Medicine. It’s an art and science of healthy living and healing based on well-founded principles and currently turning into evidence based clinical practice. The aim of Yoga and Naturopathy is to treat not only the person as a whole but to address the cause of ill health. It uses safe, simple, natural therapies like Natural Diet and Herbal therapy, Yoga therapy, Massage therapy, Hydrotherapy, Mud therapy, Aromatherapy, Acupuncture, Fasting therapy and other methods. Importantly Yoga & Naturopathy reverses and bring remission of chronic conditions like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, endocrinal problems and other lifestyle diseases.
Diabetes is no more a lifelong chronic condition and can be reversed successfully with lifestyle intervention. In western countries, Diabetes reversal is being implemented widely and successfully.
Naturopathy Yoga Kendra Clinic, a Central Govt. initiative under the CCRYN – Central Council of Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, has currently 25 clinics in Tamil Nadu and plan to expand to 250 clinics by December 2023.NYKC is a self-reliant -Atmanirbhar Bharat programme. The vision of these clinics is to provide people with quality medical care based on Ancient Indian Medical Principles at affordable prices. The initiative also helps provide employment opportunities to Bachelor Naturopathy Yogic Sciences (BNYS) Doctors. NYKC following the success in Tamil Nadu plans to expand in 15 more states.
Apart from this, there are more than 2000 Yoga & Naturopathy doctors, 19 Yoga & Naturopathy Medical Colleges, 50 inpatient hospitals and more than 200 clinics in Tamil Nadu. Currently, we are commemorating 25 years of Yoga & Naturopathy medical education in Tamil Nadu through “The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical Univeristy, Chennai”
As part of this, the Yoga and Naturopathy doctors across the state are planning on a mission to reverse and document diabetes mellitus reversal in 25000 patients in this year. Diabetes reversal without the help of chemical pills is a hot topic now days. Around 100 doctors have gathered and discussed about Diabetes reversal campaign program in which the Honorable Justice Thiru S.S.Sundar, High Court of Madras presided over the discussion and deliberation of the doctors. The event was attended by Mr. Soundarabandian President – INYGMA Indian Naturopathy Yoga Graduate Medical Association (Bachelor of Naturopathy Yogic Sciences Doctors Association), Dr. Sevak Vijay,Chairman . Naturopathy Yoga Kendra Clinic (NYKC), New Delhi. Dr. Manavalan, J.D., Department of AYUSH, Government of Tamil Nadu. Dr. Sevak Vijay Chairman Naturopathy Yoga Kendra Clinic (NYKC) was felicitated at the event for successfully opening the clinics in Tamil Nadu and providing employment to BNYS Doctors.
