Hindustan Group of Institutions Partners with University of Southern Mindanao to Strengthen Global Academic Exchange

Hindustan Group of Institutions (HGI), India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Philippines. The partnership aims to facilitate faculty and student exchange programmes, collaborative research initiatives, joint academic programmes, curriculum development, innovation and entrepreneurship activities, cultural exchange, and sharing of academic expertise and best practices.

The MoU was signed recently in the presence of senior representatives from both institutions, including Dr. Jonald Lozarito Pimentel, SUC President IV, and Prof. Dr. Marcos Fernandez Monderin, Director, International Affairs, from the University of Southern Mindanao. The ceremony was attended by the leadership and members of Hindustan Group of Institutions.

As part of the partnership, HGI and USM will explore collaboration in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Drone Technology, Electric Mobility, Data Science, Smart Agriculture, and sustainable development. The institutions will also work together on joint research projects, innovation initiatives, entrepreneurship activities, and academic engagements aimed at addressing evolving global challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman, Hindustan Group of Institutions, said: "This partnership is more than a formal agreement—it reflects our shared vision of advancing academic excellence through global collaboration. The collaboration also aligns with academic initiatives undertaken by HGI, including the International Certificate Programme on Data Science & Artificial Intelligence and the IEEE International Conference on Latest Innovations in Computing and Knowledge 2026 (CLICK 2026). These platforms bring together researchers, academicians, industry experts, and innovators to exchange ideas and contribute to advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, data analytics, and intelligent systems.
