Rajnath Singh accuses Opposition of politicising student protests
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticised the ongoing protests in Delhi, saying attempts were being made to use students and young people for political purposes.
Without referring to Rahul Gandhi by name, Singh said the Centre remained committed to addressing the concerns of students while ensuring that no injustice was done to them. He expressed confidence that the country’s youth would recognise what he described as efforts to mislead them for political gain.
The minister also said the government was willing to discuss every issue during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament. He argued that Parliament, rather than street protests, was the appropriate place to debate public issues and urged the Opposition to participate constructively instead of disrupting proceedings.
