SRMIST Hosts South Zone Inter University Basketball Men Tournament 2025–2026
The Directorate of Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, is proud to host the South Zone Inter University Basketball Men Tournament 2025–2026 under the auspices of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The tournament will be held from 24th to 28th December 2025 at the SRMIST campus, Kattankulathur, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu. A total of 120 universities from the South Zone are participating in the tournament, making it one of the largest university-level basketball competitions in the region and promising high-quality, competitive basketball action. The Inaugural Function will take place on 24th December 2025 at 6.30 AM at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, KTR. Dr. Leenus Jesu Martin, M, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRMIST, will preside over the function and inaugurate the tournament. The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony will be Mr. S. Basil Prem Anand, Inspector, Tamil Nadu Police, SRMIST Alumnus, and National Basketball Player.
