Walkaroo Expands Kinalur Facility, Strengthening System-Led Manufacturing
Walkaroo, India’s No. 1 PU Footwear Brand, today announced the expansion of its Kinalur manufacturing facility in Kerala, sharpening its focus on the fast-growing women’s footwear segment as consumption patterns in India continue to evolve.
As the sector shifts towards greater efficiency, consistency, and consumer relevance, the Kinalur expansion reflects a move beyond capacity addition to creating a more integrated manufacturing ecosystem.
The facility has been redesigned around production flow, with clear zoning for raw materials, manufacturing, and finished goods leading improved operational discipline. Through this, Production capacity of Kinalur unit has increased from 41,800 to 63,700 pairs per day

The expansion also brings in supporting infrastructure, including dedicated utility systems, specialized moulding and maintenance zones, expanded storage, and an upgraded office block.
A dedicated testing laboratory ensures compliance with BIS standards, reinforcing product consistency and reliability.
The facility also reflects a stronger focus on workplace experience, with improved employee amenities and a more collaborative environment for engineering, design, and production teams.
From an ESG perspective, the campus integrates safety systems, training infrastructure, and wastewater management through an on-site STP.
