CM Vijay directs officials to step up rescue efforts to bring back Tamils from Nepal
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay expressed concern over reports of Indians, including people from the state, going missing in the floods
He said senior officials at Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi had been instructed to take all possible steps to locate and assist those from the state. The government is also coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Nepal to obtain information about the affected travellers and support rescue operations.
Emergency contact numbers have been announced for stranded Tamils in Nepal and their relatives in Tamil Nadu seeking information.
