“DMK Congress Seat Sharing Row Continues in Puducherry”

In Chennai, the disagreement between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Indian National Congress over seat sharing for the Puducherry Assembly elections continued on Sunday. This is happening even as the deadline for filing nominations on March 23 is very close

Senior Congress leader and former Union finance minister P Chidambaram met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin to try to resolve the issue. The meeting was seen as an important step to break the deadlock between the two parties.

In addition, DMK leader S Jagathrakshagan also met Stalin to discuss the situation and find a possible solution. Leaders from both sides are trying to reach an agreement quickly to avoid delays in the election process.

The main issue between the parties is how many seats each party will contest in the Puducherry Assembly elections. Both sides want a fair share, which has led to the current disagreement.

Seat-sharing talks are very important for alliance partners, as they help avoid clashes between parties and improve their chances in elections. With the nomination deadline approaching fast, there is pressure on both DMK and Congress to settle the issue soon.

Political observers believe that a solution is likely, as both parties are part of a larger alliance and would benefit from working together. A final decision on seat sharing is expected to be announced shortly.
