SRMIST Aquatics Teams Dominate Sportsfest 2026 with Stellar Performances
SRM Institute of Science and Technology is proud to announce the outstanding achievement of its Swimmers and Water Polo Team at the 2nd Aquatics Inter-Collegiate Invitational Tournament – Sportsfest 2026, organised by the Institute Gymkhana, IIT Madras, on 5th and 6th September 2026. Demonstrating exceptional skill, determination, and team spirit, the SRMIST athletes delivered an impressive performance, securing a total of 36 medals – 24 Gold, 7 Silver, and 5 Bronze across various swimming events. The SRMIST Men’s Water Polo Team emerged as the Champions, while the university also secured the Overall Championship in both the Men’s and Women’s categories.
Men’s Individual Results:
Siva Hari won Silver in the 200m Freestyle, Silver in the 50m Butterfly, and Gold in the 4×100m Freestyle Relay.
Sabari Girisan won Gold in the 50m Butterfly, Gold in the 100m Freestyle, and Gold in the 4×100m Medley Relay.
Mourish won Silver in the 100m Backstroke, Silver in the 200m Individual Medley, and Gold in the 4×100m Freestyle Relay.
Ananthakannan won Bronze in the 200m Individual Medley and Gold in the 4×100m Freestyle Relay.
Monish Kumar won Gold in the 100m Butterfly and Silver in the 100m Breaststroke.
Dhanvanth won Bronze in the 100m Butterfly, Bronze in the 100m Freestyle, and Gold in the 4×100m Freestyle Relay.
Raj Senthil won Gold in the 200m Freestyle, Gold in the 200m Breaststroke, and Gold in the 4×100m Medley Relay.
Pognesh won Gold in the 200m Backstroke, Gold in the 100m Backstroke, and Gold in the 4×100m Medley Relay.
Parthi Vignesh won Gold in the 100m Breaststroke and Gold in the 4×100m Medley Relay.
Women’s Individual Results:
Archana won Silver in the 50m Butterfly, Gold in the 50m Breaststroke, and Gold in the 4×50m Freestyle Relay.
Moana Sri won Bronze in the 50m Freestyle, Bronze in the 50m Backstroke, and Gold in the 4×50m Freestyle Relay.
B. Roshini won Gold in the 100m Freestyle, Gold in the 50m Butterfly, and Gold in the 4×50m Freestyle Relay.
Akriti Malini Sabat won Silver in the 100m Freestyle, Gold in the 50m Backstroke, and Gold in the 4×50m Freestyle Relay.
