H.E. Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan Calls on Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to India, H.E. Mr. Azamat Yeskarayev, in New Delhi
Hyderabad, June 2025: His Excellency Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, called on His Excellency Mr. Azamat Yeskarayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India, at the Embassy in New Delhi.
Dr. Khan warmly congratulated the Hon’ble Ambassador on his recent appointment as the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of India and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure.
During the meeting, Dr. Khan briefed the Hon’ble Ambassador on his recent official visit to Astana, Kazakhstan, where he held discussions with senior government officials to further strengthen bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan. He also highlighted the growing interest in fostering direct engagement between the State of Telangana and Kazakhstan, particularly in the areas of trade, tourism, and infrastructure development.
Dr. Khan proposed the launch of a direct flight route between Hyderabad and Almaty to enhance air connectivity and bilateral economic ties. He emphasised that a direct air link would greatly benefit medical tourism, enabling easier access for Kazakh citizens to Hyderabad’s world-class healthcare services and hospitals, which are already widely recognised by international patients.
In addition, Dr. Khan noted that direct connectivity would significantly boost trade between the two regions by facilitating the smooth flow of exports and imports, thereby promoting economic growth and commercial cooperation.
Dr. Khan also discussed promoting Indian hospitals, hotels, pharmaceutical companies, and infrastructure technology in Kazakhstan. He highlighted the potential for Indian mining companies to explore investment and collaboration opportunities in Kazakhstan’s rich mineral sector.
He sought the support of the Hon’ble Ambassador for this initiative. Ambassador Yeskarayev welcomed the proposal and assured his full cooperation in facilitating discussions with the relevant stakeholders.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution towards strengthening bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan, the Hon’ble Ambassador of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Azamat Yeskarayev, presented the Diplomatic Excellence Award to His Excellency Dr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, India.
Dr. Khan also extended a formal invitation to H.E. Mr. Azamat Yeskarayev to visit Hyderabad. The Hon’ble Ambassador accepted the invitation and expressed a keen interest in visiting the city.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen ties and foster long-term cooperation between the State of Telangana and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
