OCEANA THOMAS WINS BIG AT THE TAMIL NADU STATE SUB JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Chennai May 2, 2022: Miss Oceana Thomas, an 8th Standard student of St. Michaels Academy Adyar, has won the prestigious Tamil Nadu State Sub Junior Artistic Gymnastics Championship. The 12 year old student from Chennai District, who has trained at Champions Gymnastics Centre, Uthandi under the mentorship of Chief Coach Sayantan Dey won a Gold Medal in Balancing Beam, a Gold Medal in Floor Exercise and a Bronze Medal in Vault. She also won the Silver for overall Championship. Presided over by The President of Tamil Nadu Gymnastics Association Thiru P.M.Rogabarani – NIS, Thiru Pawan Bhoir – Competition Director & International FIG Judge and Thiru G. Bala, General Secretary Tamil Nadu Gymnastics Association – the 2 day competition saw girls and boys from 15 Districts in Tamil Nadu compete with each other in the sweltering Chennai heat at SDAT Hall of Gymnastics Velachery. With this win, that is a part of the Gymnastics Federation of India and Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu events, Oceana Thomas is all set to represent Tamil Nadu on the National stage.
