On this occasion, Dr. Vani Akbar who had graduated from Volgograd State Medical University also sent Diwali greetings for Indian students.

A cultural festive concert was held during the event with the guests from Volgograd Technical University, Volgograd Conservatory and Valzhanochka folk dance ensemble. Since Diwali is a global festival, apart from Indian, there were great performances of other cultures as well.

There was a demonstration of national costumes of different regions of India. The cultural program was nothing but a wonderful treat to ears and eyes. The event got over by felicitating the guests with gifts and distributing sweets to all the performers and volunteers of the Diwali fest.
