Sindhu Mishra’s Aayam to Present ‘Nav Durga – She Is Many. She Is One.’ at Bharat Parv
Much talked about for its powerful thematic depth and aesthetic brilliance, Sindhu Mishra’s Aayam Institute of Performing Arts is set to present its celebrated production Nav Durga – She Is Many. She Is One. She Is Shakti at Bharat Parv on 26 and 27 January 2026 at 6:00 PM, at Netaji Subhash Marg, Lal Qila, Chandni Chowk, New Delhi – 110006.
The production is a profound artistic invocation of Shakti—the invincible cosmic force, slayer of demons, primordial creator, and benevolent protector. She is the nurturing mother and the embodiment of peace and harmony; the omnipresent Devi who manifests as strength, courage, wisdom, grace, and compassion. Residing within all beings as intelligence and beauty, Shakti remains the eternal source of balance in the universe.
At a time marked by mounting struggles and deepening divisions across social and moral landscapes, Nav Durga draws inspiration from this transformative feminine energy to seek truth and justice.
This humble yet powerful offering by the Aayam Dance Troupe reveres the nine forms of the Devi through the sacred Nav Durga Stotram, composed by Saint Adi Shankaracharya. The choreography is uniquely structured—each Devi’s shloka is rendered in a distinct raagam, capturing her essence, while the taalam mirrors the rhythmic pulse emanating from her divine energy.
Rooted in classical tradition yet resonating deeply with contemporary consciousness, Nav Durga stands as a compelling celebration of the feminine divine—timeless, powerful, and eternally relevant.
