SRM Arts and Science College, Kattankulathur, organised the "Chairman's Birthday Trophy"

SRM Arts and Science College, Kattankulathur, organised the "Chairman's Birthday Trophy", an All-India Inter-School Hockey (Boys) and Ball Badminton (Girls) Tournament, on 12th and 13th July 2026. The Tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Senthil Krishnan, India Post in the presence of Dr. R. Venkatesh Babu, Director – Academics & Administration, SRM Group of Institutions, as the Guest of Honour. The Valedictory function was graced by                            Mr. Senthil Nayagam R, Assessment, Income Tax as the Chief Guest and Dr. R. Mohana Krishnan, Director – Directorate of Sports, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, as the Guest of Honour. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 16 Hockey teams and 12 Ball Badminton teams representing various schools across the country. In the Hockey (Boys) event, SDAT, Madurai emerged as the Champions, while Government Higher Secondary School, Kararanampattu, Vellore secured the Runners-up position. Indira Gandhi Higher Secondary School, Thirunagar, Madurai and National Higher Secondary School, Tindivanam secured the Third and Fourth places respectively. In the Ball Badminton (Girls) event, OCPM Girls Higher Secondary School, Madurai clinched the Championship Trophy along with the Cash Prize. Ms. S. Sobhika was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament. The winners and participants were felicitated with Trophies, Medals, Certificates, and Cash Prizes by the Chief Guests and Guests of Honour. Dr. R. Vasudevaraj, Principal, the Vice-Principal and the Director of Physical Education, were also present on the occasion.
