SRMIST Women’s Chess Team Secures Silver Medal at All India Inter-University Championship 2025–26
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Chennai, proudly announces a remarkable achievement as its Women’s Chess Team clinched the Silver Medal at the All India Inter-University Chess Tournament for Women 2025–26, organized by IIMT University,Meerut, Uttar Pradesh from 16th to 19th March 2026.
The prestigious national-level tournament witnessed the participation of 15 teams from across the country. Displaying exceptional skill, determination, and consistency over five competitive rounds, the SRMIST Women’s Chess Team secured the runner-up position with an impressive 14.5 points out of 20.
