Chennai:

Wangs Kitchen, the iconic restaurant chain synonymous with delicious Indo-Chinese cuisine, has revived its operations in Chennai.

Forced to shut down owing to the Covid 19 pandemic, the chain which dominated the city’s Indo-Chinese food landscape for over 25 years has made a comeback with a new identity, menu, and management, and a campaign which dwells on “ Back to the good old days.”

“Wangs Kitchen, in its new metamorphosis, stands not just for delicious, fresh food but also a great family dining experience, with attentive staff in a modern and edgy ambience, which reflects the fusion that Indo-Chinese cuisine embodies. And of course, those ordering takeaway will love the retro packaging which revives fond memories of the good old days. The concept is a 40 seater neighbourhood store format, we hope to have 10 branches of Wangs Kitchen dine in across the city in the coming few months” says Sriram, Senior Partner Blue Koi.

We are totally committed to quality, and “only the best noodles in the market, premium long grained basmati rice, and the freshest poultry, meat and seafood are sourced to ensure that our customers get the best value for their money. We see a gap in the market in the segment of family dine-in in Indo Chinese cuisine with a good dining experience and tasty food, and we hope to fill this gap” he added.

Indo Chinese food is one the the largest categories in food consumption both in Dine in and online through channels like Swiggy and Zomato, Wangs Kitchen hopes to move to be corner a large part of the market share in the city through their omnichannel approach of Dine in, Takeaway and Online order routes. The brand will follow the Franchisee route but will largely manage the outlets themselves as company operated outlet inorder to ensure standardisation and quality.

The new management has ambitious plans to revive and resurrect the brand and eventually open a 100 casual dining outlets to start with in South and later across India.

The first of the new format restaurants open on 25th March, at Hallmark Towers, 550, TTK Road, Alwarpet, Lane Behind Motherhood Hospital, Chennai 18. Reservation can be made in the number – 7845721345. For franchise 7305024456
