Chennai witnessed a landmark day for scholastic sport as Casagrand International School hosted the 4th edition of the Tamil Nadu State Level Chess Tournament, bringing state-level talents to the heart of the city. The tournament saw an impressive gathering of over 350 young chess talents from 70 schools across Tamil Nadu, transforming the campus into a dynamic battleground of intellect, strategy and sporting spirit. For the students, it was more than a competition. It was a powerful platform to test their skill, sharpen their focus and experience the thrill of competing on a stage that celebrated excellence at the state level.
Adhering to international standards of fairness and technical precision, the Tamil Nadu State Level Chess Tournament unfolded as a grand spectacle of intellect, strategy and sportsmanship, reflecting both scale and prestige. The tournament featured four competitive categories U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-17, with participants battling it out across 6 rigorous rounds that tested endurance, concentration and tactical depth. Each round intensified the contest, as young minds calculated moves under pressure in an atmosphere charged with focus and competitive spirit. At the culmination of a fiercely contested series of matches, the top 15 Champions in every category were crowned and honored with prestigious trophies, while the first-place winners were further rewarded with Chess Clock, recognizing their exceptional skill, discipline and championship mettle.
