Author and karaoke singer Pawan Sharma Honoured by India Book of Records for First Karaoke Singers Directory
Author and karaoke singer Pawan Sharma has been honoured with the India Book of Records (IBR) Achiever title for creating India’s first Karaoke Singers Directory titled “Swar Sangrah.” The directory has been officially registered in the India Book of Records, recognising it as a pioneering initiative in the field of karaoke singing.As part of the recognition, Sharma was presented with a certificate, medal, and identity card. The India Book of Records is a reputed organisation that acknowledges outstanding achievements across various fields and is affiliated with the Asia Book of Records.
“Swar Sangrah” has been independently conceptualised, compiled, edited, and published by Sharma. The directory features information on karaoke singers, organisers, auditoriums, and studios from Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, along with articles related to karaoke singing.
Sharma said that singing is an integral part of Indian culture and an emerging global hobby that promotes positivity, social interaction, and mental well-being. He added that the growing professional structure of karaoke singing has also created employment opportunities.
The directory was recently launched at a ceremony held at Artemis Auditorium, Gurugram, attended by singers, organisers, and music enthusiasts from Delhi NCR.
