Chennai, 14th July 2023: ‘Pharmac South 2023’ - The South India's Biggest Pharmaceutical Expo, Pharmac South 8th Edition 2023 was kicked off at the Chennai Trade Centre on July 14th, in the presence of industry leaders, marketing companies and regulatory officers.
The inaugural session took place on 14th July. Shri. J. Jayaseelan, Chairman; IDMA (Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Kerala) delivered the welcome address. Shri. S. V. Veerramani, Past National President, IDMA & Chairman, Pharmexcil delivered his keynote address on “Overview of Pharma Industry & export opportunities”.
Guest of Honor, Shri. Dr. Arun Roy, IAS, Secretary to Government, MSME Department, Govt. of Tamil Nadu inaugurated Pharmac South 2023.
This was followed by the address of other prominent delegates, including:

“Pharmaceutical Quality’ – ‘What are we missing?” was the topic by Dr. Rajiv Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General of India, CDSCO, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India.

Manufacturers & Marketers of Food supplements got the latest update on regulations and guidance for compliance with FSSAI by top officials- Dr. K.A. Arul Anand, Joint Director (Technical), Designated Officer (Central Licensing) – Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh FSSAI & Dr. Vivek, Assistant Director, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, FSSAI.
In all, around 5000 business delegates and government authorities are expected to participate in this event over the two days.
