Jio’s AI education mission reaches every district in Tamil Nadu, transforming learning in more than 1,000 schools
Reliance Jio today announced the launch of a large-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) education initiative aimed at empowering school students and teachers across Tamil Nadu. The program is part of Jio’s national “AI for Everyone” mission, designed to build AI literacy and prepare the next generation for an increasingly technology-driven world. reaching over 1000 schools statewide, the initiative has already engaged more than 5000 teachers and over 10,000 students through hands-on training ses s i o n s led by senior Jio executives.
Training Powered by Google Gemini Pro
As part of this initiative, Jio is introducing comprehensive training sessions for students and educators on the use of Google Gemini Pro-Google’s advanced AI model. The training integrates practical AI usage into everyday classroom activities, supporting smarter learning, improved problem-solving, and enhanced teaching methodologies.
Launch of the Free “Jio AI Classroom” Program
Jio has also unveiled the Jio AI Classroom, a free four-week online certification course tailored for school students.
- Eligibility: Students from Classes 6 to 12
- Curriculum Highlights:
- Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence
- Introduction to generative AI models
- Effective AI prompting techniques
- Creative AI applications for art, research, and coding
- Certification: Participants completing the program via the Jio website (desktop/laptop) will receive a certificate from the Jio Institute.
Specialized AI Training for Teachers
Teachers across Tamil Nadu will benefit from dedicated training modules enabling them to:
- Develop lesson plans and academic content more efficiently
- Generate automated assessments and grading charts
- Use modern AI tools including NotebookLM for research and project planning
