OruCupOxygen Launches a No-Scroll Movement for Mental Wellness; Introduces Immersive “Oru Cup Focus” Experience in Chennai
In an era dominated by endless scrolling and shrinking attention spans, OruCupOxygen announces the launch of its mental wellness app - a first-of-its-kind platform designed to make focus, sleep, and awareness a simple, daily routine.
Conceptualised as a “mental gym” for the modern mind, OruCupOxygen moves away from algorithm-driven feeds and digital noise, offering a no-scroll movement, no-ads, one-click experience that encourages users to pause, engage intentionally, and build sustainable mental fitness habits.
At its core, the app addresses a growing yet under-recognised challenge - the decline of focus in everyday life. Built on the belief that the fundamentals of today’s wellbeing are focus, sleep, and awareness, the platform begins by tackling focus as the first step toward a calmer, more aware way of living.
“Focus today is elusive,” says Santosh Kumar, Co-founder, OruCupOxygen. “We are not building an app, we are building a routine, one that helps people regain control over their attention in a world designed to take it away.”
Unlike traditional meditation or productivity tools, OruCupOxygen does not rely on passive consumption or performance tracking. Instead, it offers structured, daily ‘focus pods’, short, engaging exercises built around techniques such as visualization, memory, and cognitive stimulation. Designed to be consumed one day at a time, these pods encourage consistency and cannot be binged, reinforcing habit-building over instant gratification.
Complementing this is a sleep section featuring calming, audio-led experiences, from soothing voices to ambient soundscapes, aimed at helping users unwind and transition into restful sleep.
The app’s philosophy is rooted in simplicity and purity. By eliminating ads and algorithms, it avoids echo chambers and distraction loops, instead creating space for what the founders call “delightful discovery.”
“In a world of scrolling, we believe in pausing and slowing down,” adds Sa Ki, Co-founder, OruCupOxygen. “Our goal is to shift people from passive consumption to conscious exploration - where they seek, question, and truly engage.”
The platform is shaped by secondary research and iterative user testing, including multiple 21-day focus challenges and years of refinement in sleep content. Feedback from over 25,000 users has informed enhancements such as guided introductions, gamified learning elements, and improved audio formats - ensuring that the experience remains both effective and engaging.
Marking the launch, OruCupOxygen is also introducing “Oru Cup Focus”, an exclusive, immersive event designed to help participants assess their focus across all five senses. Hosted in Chennai, this 45–60-minute guided experience places individuals in a distraction-free environment where they engage with sensory stimuli - from sight and sound to touch and smell , to better understand how they perceive and process attention.
Limited to small groups per session, the experience is intentionally designed to be private, reflective, and deeply personal, reinforcing the app’s larger mission: bringing awareness to focus before attempting to improve it. This event is happening on 10th and 11th of April from 4 pm onwards at Pagir, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai
Targeted at individuals navigating fast-paced, digitally saturated lifestyles, OruCupOxygen aims to make mental wellness as routine and accessible as physical fitness. With affordable subscription plans and a positioning as a thoughtful wellness gift, the platform seeks to build a culture where daily mental care is not an afterthought, but a habit.
Looking ahead, the founders envision OruCupOxygen becoming a go-to mental wellness companion for all, driving a larger cultural shift - from being constantly fed information to actively seeking focus, sleep, and awareness.
