Revaa's Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program – Wiki Period Gains Momentum, Aiming to Reach 5000 Students
New Delhi, August 6, 2024: Revaa, a pioneering brand dedicated to transforming female health and hygiene dedicated to transforming menstrual health and awareness. In order to accomplish this goal, Revaa has launched an engaging educational series in collaboration with schools, aimed at young individuals. By educating the next generation about this essential health phenomenon, this campaign emphasizes the value of hygiene and the use of proper products along with frequent health check-ups and the prevention of cervical cancer through the use of the vaccine.
Menstruation is associated with stigma and taboo, a universal phenomenon. Revaa is dedicated to creating an open dialogue among children, parents, and school facilitators in order to break through these taboos and raise awareness. Through promoting communication and comprehension, the brand hopes to make the ecosystem more welcoming and knowledgeable for all users. Revaa’s vision is to reach 5000 students by the next quarter by collaborating with the schools and other institutions. The response from the participating schools has been overwhelmingly positive not only from the administrators but also from the students and facilitators.
Some of our Institutional partners are The HDFC School, Sant Sujan Singh ji International School, Mount Columbus School, The Srijan School, Lotus Valley School, Prime Scholars International School, Shikshantar School, and American Montessori Public School who have actively engaged in these sessions, embracing the opportunity to educate students and parents.
According to Mr. Mahipal Singh, Founder and CEO of Revaa, “The purpose of these sessions is to build awareness around menstruation with both parents and students of both genders.” Each session covers essential topics including the basics of menstruation, do's and don'ts of menstrual hygiene, issues like PCOD/PCOS, awareness about cervical cancer, and introduction to reusable products alongside some additional topics such as nutrition and hygienic disposal of menstrual products are also covered to provide comprehensive education. Revaa's initiative was inspired by the urgency to equip young girls with the knowledge to confidently navigate their menstrual cycles. "With menstruation beginning earlier in today's lifestyle, it's crucial to empower girls from a young age," the spokesperson explains.
Revaa ensures that accurate information is imparted to students and parents, and the sessions are conducted in an interactive and engaging manner by including fun activities around identifying their moods and understanding how being happy, sad, angry or confused is simply actions of the hormones. For the effectiveness of these sessions, Revaa evaluates audience involvement during the sessions and tracks engagement with the brand post-session. Metrics are being managed to monitor how the students are engaging with the team and showing inquisitiveness to build their knowledge. Moreover, ongoing support systems are being developed to address students' concerns, with experts in gynecology, pediatrics, nutrition, and other fields lending their expertise.
As Revaa continues to expand its reach, the organization remains committed to its mission of promoting sustainable menstrual hygiene and health awareness. For more information or to collaborate on future initiatives, please visit the website or reach out on revaa@revaa.co.in.
