Mahindra World City (MWC), Chennai, will conductthe seventh edition of the MWC Marathonon Sunday, 2nd February 2020. Every year, the MWC Marathon is held in aid of the girl child, in association with Project Nanhi Kali, an initiative that provides primary education to underprivileged girls in India. A part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Nanhi Kali. The marathon is supported by Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India (RNTBCI).
The MWC Marathon will be held in the natural and green environs of MWC Chennai.  Runners can choose between the 1km, 3km, 5km, 10km,and half marathon (21km) routes.All participantswill be conferred with medals, certificate and other freebies. The MWC Marathonincludes breakfast and refreshments,free t-shirts, photo shoots, etc.
MWC Marathon is currently the only marathon in Chennai which is certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and the Association of International Marathons (AIMS) in the 21km category. Moreover, the environment-friendly run will support the elimination of single-use plastic and resources used in the marathon will be re-cycled and reused.
