Honourable Health Secretary, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Dr.J.Radhakrishnan (IAS) felicitates the winners of 'HUMANITARIAN AWARDS 2022’ in the presence of RCC DIVA FOUNDATION & Apsara Reddy at PVR Cinemas, Express Avenue Mall

Chennai 25th March 2022: A prestigious award function was held in the cinemas by RCC Diva Foundation and social activist Apsara Reddy. Chief Guest Dr J Radhakrishnan IAS, TN Health Secretary and Mrs Krithika Radhakrishnan turned emotions when child sexual abuse victims came to receive an award along with their caretaker.

Dr J Radhakrishan, said, “It is an honour to work with RCC Diva managing trustee Manisha Chordia and social activist Apsara Reddy. They have highlighted such an important issue of encouraging social activists from the grassroots level. TN govt always supports the activist community to aid in the massive relief work we as a govt do.”

Manisha Chordia, said, “We must as communities recognise the needy and RCC diva will always be at the forefront of bringing about social change.”

Apsara Reddy, “It is important to engage with grassroots level social workers. It is from their economic empowerment and real causes come to light.”

Divya Nissi Gangapatnam:

Divya is a social entrepreneur and currently heads Madras Fuse - an ethical fashion production House which provides livelihood for women who are rescued from trafficking and women from disadvantaged communities.

Pooja srinivasaraja:

Pooja started Transfomind foundation in 2019 with mere passion on breaking stigmas against mental health.

Today transfomind has impacted 8000+ lives through various support groups, workshops and events and have also been working closely with other NGO’s to offer mental health support to their beneficiaries. Also provided free therapy sessions for people affected in covid.

Lalitha Jangra:

Lalitha Jangra is a social philanthropist working with 26 leprosy colonies impacting lives of more than 2500+ leprosy patients in and around Tamil Nadu for the last 27 years.She has helped in providing infrastructure like water tanks, rooms, toilets, cots, fans, monthly provision etc.

She has closely worked with Leprosy patients, blind children, mentally challenged kids, old age homes, orphanage kids over the years..

Indira krishnamurthy:

Indira K has been a resource person for UPSC training institutes in Chennai, Bangalore and Assam (children from Tribal and minority communities were chosen to impart training). Further organized and participated in various legal aid services pertaining to women and children. Currently as a part of my research working on Child Rights Law, concentrating mainly on Juvenile Justice System, Alternative Care systems etc.,

Sr. Shanthi Alex:

Working for the development of poor street children, orphans, child laborers, abused, children of the sex workers and HIV affected parents and poor women, both boy and girl children

Durga Sri An abandoned child who was raised by transgender women and later educated herself and now runs an NGO to help other Transgenders.
