Jio Launches AI-Driven Education Initiative Across Tamil Nadu Free Jio AI Classroom and Google Gemini Pro Plan Made Available to Schools

Reliance Jio has announced a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) education initiative across Tamil Nadu aimed at equipping teachers and students with essential AI skills for the modern digital landscape. The program focuses on the practical use of Jio AI to enhance teaching methods and support advanced learning outcomes.

Reaching over 500 schools statewide, the initiative has already engaged more than 1,000 teachers and students through hands-on training sessions led by senior Jio executives. These sessions introduce participants to the Google Gemini ecosystem and demonstrate how AI can streamline key academic tasks such as lesson planning, assignment drafting, coding, project ideation, graphic design, and interview preparation.

A major highlight of the program is Jio has introduced the Jio AI Classroom, a free four-week online certification course designed to help learners build AI fundamentals at their own pace. Students can enroll at Jio.com/ai-classroom and gain practical exposure to technologies shaping the future workforce.

Additionally, Jio offers an 18-month complimentary Google Gemini Pro Plan for Jio unlimited 5G subscribers. Valued at ₹35,100, the plan activated via the MyJio app provides access to the Gemini 3 Pro model, Nano Banana Pro for high-quality AI image creation, Veo 3.1 for advanced video generation, NotebookLM for research support, and 2 TB of cloud storage for academic projects.
