Jim Ross believes Brock Lesnar will defeat Goldberg
FORT BRAGG, CALIFORNIA: Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg finally returned to WWE this past Monday night on Raw and fans also gave the former WCW star a hero's welcome upon his return inside a wrestling ring.
However, while the return of the former Champion has excited fans all over the world, it has also triggered speculations on if Goldberg will finally prove to be the one to end Brock Lesnar's dominance on WWE programming or if the Beast will finally take his revenge from Bill for his loss at WrestleMania.
While speaking on his weekly podcast, former WWE play-by-play man Jim Ross gave his opinion on Goldberg’s return, and revealed why he thinks the Former WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion shouldn’t be in the Survivor Series main event.
“I don’t think [Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg] will close the show. I would not put the match on last at Survivor Series. It’s a special attraction, and I think that Lesnar will probably win. I think the match will go 15 [minutes] bell-to-bell.”
Goldberg, who’s 49, hasn’t wrestled a match since the spring of 2004, so most people are expecting him to be a bit rusty when he steps into the ring at Survivor Series on November 20.
